8 Theses for successful Talent Management

225px-Luther46cIn 1517, Martin Luther initiated the Protestant Reformation by nailing his 95 theses on the entrance to the church in Wittenberg.

We at StardustConsulting do not necessarily aspire to religious impact of that magnitude, but we would like to post our own theses for successful Talent Management. So here you go:

8 Theses for successful Talent Management

  1. All Talent Management efforts must be connected to overall business strategy
  2. Everybody has talent, not only hi-potentials
  3. People management and leadership are key. Really.
  4. Processes are necessary, but not sufficient
  5. Strong collaboration between HR and line organization is crucial
  6. Technology is important, especially for efficiency
  7. Measurement must be detailed but relevant
  8. A holistic view is essential

We don’t quite make it to 95 theses, but perhaps you have some you would like to add?
